Well, we made it!!! 8 full and 2 partial days of trekking...100 km of horizontal distance covered, 12,500 m of vertical distance covered (6,000 up and 6,500 down to be exact): hiking between 1070m and 4130m, sleeping between 1520m and 4130m. 9 teahouses in the Himalayas, 4 showers (more than anticipated!), dozens of squat toilets, 1 friendly leech, pounds and pounds of dal baht and masala tea consumed, 1 hail storm endured while in a hot spring, and 15 new friends made :) Temps ranging between 27C and -5C....and my body feels like it has been run over by a truck....but WELL worth it!!!
All in all, a super successful trek. Now for a night of celebration! Pictures and stories to be posted ASAP
