At this point I am entirely too tired to write about the W trek but here is a photo preview of the first day! Enjoy!

| At the beginning of the hike....it was super warm! We hiked approx. 20 km in total this day |

| This was the goal for the day......Mirador Los Torres. We look happy and full of energy but really we just struggled to make it up here in extreme wind conditions and scaling over some steep steep rocks. All of the people you see are the group I've been traveling with for the past two weeks....and our guide is in the middle left with the black jacket and red hat. |

| Luckily our guide knew the mountain house owner so he let us use this room to dry out all of our clothes.....it was such a nice treat after 2 hours of rain that we caught at the end of our hike. |

ReplyDeleteSo we finished this week's paper at noon today and I have had time to check up on all your travels. Looks absolutely wonderful. I love that one pic from the Oct. 24 entry with the deer (I think they are deer?) in the foreground and the mountains in the background. And I like the pic of the three of you that is taken from so far away. It shows just how massive those mountains are. Have fun on the rest of your trek!
