Snaefellsness Peninsula

Yesterday was spent on a roadtrip out to Snaeflessness Peninsula! Yes, Katy and I did cover this territory when we were here in 2012 but I figure there are always new things to find....and find I did :)

Was a long drive/walk day (drive a little, walk a bit), spanning from about 8a-11p. But so very worth it, despite the bouts of rain that just happened to occur during pretty much all of my driving times.

These pictures are in no particular order. Even though Iceland is a repeat for me, the scenery remained breathtaking. Hills everywhere, random lava fields that get stumbled upon when least expected, Icelandic horses and sheep milling about....and the colors. I am guessing because I am here later in the season that the greens are even more vibrant that my previous trip? But I could not even believe that what I was looking at was real. These are unfiltered, almost completely unedited, and most just randomly snapped off the side of the road.

Enjoy! And come back to Iceland with me!!!!!!

**If anyone is actually going to Iceland, let me know and I can map out for you where I went, etc***

At this point, I was like...."Iceland, are you for REAL??"
